            Group Chief Executive Designate joins Board of Inchcape

Further to the announcement made on 1 June 2005, Inchcape plc, the international
automotive services group, confirms that Andre Lacroix has today joined its 
Board. He will assume the role of Group Chief Executive on 1 January 2006.

In accordance with paragraph 16.4 of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that 
there are no details to be disclosed under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the 
Listing Rules.
