Inchcape Board changes
Further to the announcements made on 28 February and 1 June 2005, Inchcape plc,
the international automotive services group, confirms that the following Board
changes have taken effect.
Sir John Egan retired from his role as Chairman, and from the Board, on
31 December 2005.
Peter Johnson, previously Group Chief Executive, succeeded Sir John as
Non-executive Chairman with effect from 1 January 2006.
Andre Lacroix, who joined the Board as Group Chief Executive Designate on
1 September 2006, assumed the role of Group Chief Executive with effect from
1 January 2006.
In addition, and further to the announcement made on 13 December 2005, Karen
Guerra has also joined the Board as a Non-executive Director with effect from
1 January 2006.
Following these changes, and in addition to Peter Johnson as Non-executive
Chairman, the Board includes six Non-executive Directors, five of whom are
independent.
Notes to editors
As Non-executive Chairman, Peter Johnson will receive a basic annual salary of
£275,000. As Group Chief Executive, Andre Lacroix will receive a basic annual
salary of £620,000. Their other contractual terms are consistent with those of
their predecessors and will be detailed in the forthcoming Annual Report and
Accounts for 2005.
