Inchcape announces that on 16 May 2001 it issued 30,927 shares under its
Executive Option Scheme and that on 21 May 2001 it issued 500 shares under the
its SAYE Scheme.

Following the recent repurchase of 100,000 Company shares for cancellation,
the Company now has 81,180,407 share in issue.
