APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

Informa Group plc, the business information group, today
announces the appointment of Sean Watson as a non-executive
director, with immediate effect.  Sean replaces Don De Groot who
retires having been a Director of IBC Group and subsequently
Informa Group for 15 years.

Sean Watson, a solicitor, is a Senior Corporate Finance Partner
at the leading international law firm CMS Cameron McKenna where
he heads the Corporate Finance Group.  He has been with the firm
since 1979, joining from Slaughter and May.

Commenting on the appointment, Peter Rigby, Informa Group
Chairman, said:-

Board.  Sean has been a long-standing adviser to the company and
knows us well.  Don de Groot has served the company with
