Publishing Technology PLC

Simon Dessain leaves Publishing Technology plc.
Simon Dessain, chief operating officer of Publishing Technology plc and former
chief executive of Ingenta plc, has announced his departure from the company.
Following the successful merger of Ingenta plc and VISTA International, which
was completed in February 2007, Simon has decided to develop his career
elsewhere.
He said:
"The last six years at Ingenta and Publishing Technology have proved both
immensely enjoyable and a great challenge. Now that the merger is finalized, the
integration of the two businesses is well under way and the right management is
in place at the operating subsidiaries, I feel that the time has come for me to
pursue new opportunities."
George Lossius, chief executive of Publishing Technology, said:
"On behalf of the board, I'd like to thank Simon for all his hard work in
helping to develop Publishing Technology. We wish him well."
He added: "Over the past two years Simon has developed a strong management team
to lead IngentaConnect and Publishers Communication Group, including Doug Wright
who assumed full responsibility for both businesses following the merger. Simon
made a huge contribution to bringing about an orderly and effective management
transition, and he leaves the company in a strong position for the future."
Simon Dessain will remain with the company until the end of July in order to
effect a smooth handover of responsibilities.
