Result of AGM, Trading Update and Retirement of Non-Executive Director


Ingenta plc, the technology and services provider to the publishing and
information industries, is pleased to announce that all of the resolutions at
the AGM of the Company, held today, were duly passed.

The following statement was made by Martyn Rose, Chairman, at the AGM:

'Trading in the first quarter of 2005 shows progress over the comparative period
of 2004.   Revenues have increased , and overhead costs have been reduced by
over 30% resulting in progress towards the company's immediate goal of regular
profitable trading.

Following the AGM, David Embleton, Non-Executive Director, has retired from the
Board having not sought re-election under the Company's Articles of Association,
as a result of the increasing pressure of his other business commitments,
including his position on the Board of a newly formed venture capital investment
company. David has been a Director of Ingenta since its foundation and the Board
would like to thank him for the substantial role he has played in the Group's
formation and development over more than 5 years.
