Board Appointment
Inland Homes plc (AIM: INL), the leading brownfield regeneration specialist and housebuilder with a focus on the South and South East of England, is pleased to announce the appointment of Managing Director, Gary John Skinner to the Board of Directors with immediate effect.
Gary, aged 49, brings considerable experience to the Board having worked in the housebuilding sector for over 30 years. During this period, he has gained extensive expertise in the sourcing, acquisition and planning as well as the commercial delivery of construction projects. Gary joined Inland Homes as a Managing Director in February 2016 and has been responsible for delivering construction partnerships and joint venture developments, as well as overseeing the Health and Safety standards, HR and Customer Services for the Company.
Gary formerly served as an Operations Director at Willmott Dixon Housing, a privately-owned contracting and interior fit-out group, where he was responsible for the sourcing, planning and the commercial delivery of up to 1,000 units per year. Prior to this, he served as a Production Director at George Wimpey, a housing and land developer now part of Taylor Wimpey plc, where he was involved in the land purchase assessments and timely delivery of the sites by providing advice on the build methodologies, potential construction implications, and Environmental and Safety issues.
Stephen Wicks, CEO at Inland Homes said, "Since joining Inland Homes Gary has had a tremendous impact on the Company and has been an integral part of our growth from 31 to 101 people in the last 26 months, having led the formation and expansion of our construction business. Housebuilding and, increasingly, the development of homes in partnership with local authorities and housing associations are core pillars of our strategy as we seek to diversify and grow our income streams, and Gary's appointment to the Board reflects that."
Information required to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 17 and paragraph (g) of Schedule Two of the AIM Rules for Companies is set out below.
The Board is also pleased to confirm that the search to increase Non-Executive representation on the Board is well advanced and the appointment will be announced shortly.
