Intec appoints former COLT CEO, Peter Manning, as non-executive Director
London, 13 April 2004 - The Board of Intec Telecom Systems PLC ("Intec") is
pleased to announce that it has appointed Peter Manning, 48, as a non-executive
Director. Mr. Manning replaces Edward Astle who has resigned after nearly 4
years' service as a non-executive Director. The Board wishes to express its
sincere thanks to Mr. Astle who has played a substantial and important role in
guiding Intec since its 2000 listing.
Mr. Manning was formerly President and Chief Executive of COLT
Telecommunications between 2000 and 2003, and previously held Board-level roles
at Concert Communications and various BT companies. Mr. Manning is a Chartered
Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, a Fellow of the
Institute of Directors, a Liveryman of London (Worshipful Company of Information
Technologists), and holds a first class Honours degree in Computer Science.
Intec Executive Chairman Mike Frayne said: "Peter brings 30 years' business and
technical experience of the global telecommunications industry to Intec, as well
as high-level knowledge of public company management. His expertise in
high-growth companies and the business needs of our customers and target market
