The deal is the biggest mediation win for Intec in its history, strengthening the company's market position in the North American OSS market. Working closely with the customer, Intec will consolidate 20 separate collection systems - which collect billing data from a wide variety of networks, ranging from IP to traditional telephony and wireless - into just three systems with the Inter-mediatE solution. Implementation will be finalised by September 2003, and will enable the customer to collect more than 1.5 billion messages per day from more than 1,900 network elements and consolidate them for accurate billing. The Inter-mediatE deal was signed after an extensive analysis against some of Intec's toughest competitors. The customer cited superior flexibility, scalability and real-time convergent capabilities as its reasons for choosing Intec's mediation software. Inter-mediatE(TM) provides next-generation functionality to carriers, including mobile (3G, CDMA, TDMA, GSM) operators, pure IP, Voice-over-IP and convergent operators, content providers, and all types of fixed line carriers. Inter-mediatE, a real-time data acquisition and mediation system, is currently in use by more than 115 companies worldwide. This client joins Intec's growing Inter-mediatE customer list, which includes companies such as Verizon, Hutchison 3G, ITXC, BellSouth and Telstra.
