Intec signs convergent mediation deal with Telenet Belgium
London - November18th, 2003 - Intec Telecom Systems, a global provider of
Operations Support Systems (OSS) for the telecommunications industry, today
announced a mediation software agreement with Telenet, one of Belgium's leading
telecommunications, Internet and multimedia companies. As part of the deal,
valued at close to one million euros, Telenet has installed Intec's
Inter-mediatETM solution to enable the company to collect and process
information on traffic carried over its network.
Intec has replaced Telenet's existing in-house mediation system with an
innovative and effective platform. Its Inter-mediatE solution offers the
scalability and functionality to seamlessly support Telenet's increasing voice
and IP traffic volumes, thereby providing fast and reliable billing records from
a convergent platform. In addition, Inter-mediatE provides the necessary
flexibility to implement real-time, convergent mediation business rules for any
billing model, thereby improving customer service and minimising time-to-market
for new, value-added services.
Commenting on the deal Intec CEO Kevin Adams said, "Our contract with Telenet
reinforces our position as one of the leading mediation vendors in the world.
With the installation of Inter-mediatE Telenet has taken an important step in
improving the delivery time for new services and leveraging its revenue
potential. We are confident that Telenet will witness a quick return on
investment with Inter-mediatE as it is a future-proof, innovative product that
offers fast and unequalled convergent support for all services and payment
options from a single platform."
