INTERNATIONAL BIOTECHNOLOGY TRUST PLC (the "Company")

Disclosure of Director/PDMR's purchase of the Company's shares

In accordance with DTR 3.1.4, the Company was notified today that Mr Nick Coleman, a partner of the Company's Investment Manager, SV Life Sciences Managers LLP, purchased 1,129 Ordinary 25p shares at a price of 487p per Ordinary share in London, which are registered in the name of Barclays Stockbrokers.  As a result of this purchase, Mr Coleman's aggregate holding of shares in the Company has increased to 2,040 Ordinary shares, representing 0.005% of the Company's issued share capital.
