                        NEW PRIVATE PORTFOLIO COMPANIES

The Board of International Biotechnology Trust plc (the 'Company') notes that
the Company has invested in two new private companies allocated to the Ordinary
and C Share pools according to the most recently released net asset value of
each pool at the point of investment.


8 March 2007 - US$1m in Ricerca Biosciences - A contract research organisation
based in Ohio, USA

15 March 2007 - US$2m in EUSA Pharma - A transatlantic specialty pharma company,
based in the UK, with operations in Europe and the USA
