Purchase of shares by Non-Executive Directors of Intertek Group plc

In accordance with RIS notification required by DTR3.1.4R(1), Intertek Group plc
('the Company') wishes to notify the following changes in the interests of five
of its non-executive directors, persons discharging managerial responsibility
('PDMRs').

In accordance with the Company's new fee structure for its non-executive
directors, the following Ordinary Shares of 1p each (the 'Shares') in the
capital of the Company were purchased on 10 March 2008.
