Board change
Intertek announces that Raymond Kong is to retire as a non-executive director of
Intertek Group plc at the next Annual General Meeting to be held on 11 May 2007.
Raymond was one of the founders of the Consumer Goods division over thirty years
ago which now operates in more than 35 countries around the world. He was Chief
Executive of the Consumer Goods division until July 2006 and became a director
of the Company in May 2004.
Vanni Treves, Chairman of Intertek, commented:
'Raymond has played an extremely important role in the growth and development of
the Company, particularly in Asia, and I would like to express my deep
gratitude to him, on behalf of all his fellow directors, employees and
customers, for his outstanding contribution towards building the Consumer Goods
division into the successful business it is today.
'Raymond has made an excellent contribution to the Board over the last three
years, especially with respect to his recent operational experience, and we
wish him a happy and healthy retirement.'
