Date of appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Further to the announcement made on 14 January 2010, Intertek Group plc (Intertek), the leading provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries around the world, confirms that Lloyd Pitchford will be appointed Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Intertek on 26 April 2010.

Bill Spencer will step down as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Intertek on 22 March 2010.
