Intertek Group plc - Result of Annual General Meeting

At the sixth Annual General Meeting of Intertek Group plc held today all
resolutions were duly passed. No poll took place.

The Notice of AGM was dispatched to shareholders on 5 March 2007. The notice and
annual report were also placed on the Company's website, www.intertek.com.
Details of the proxy votes received in respect of the resolutions are available
on the same website.

Copies of the resolutions passed at the meeting (other than those relating to
ordinary business) will be submitted to the UK Listing Authority and made
