INVESTEC APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Investec is pleased to announce, in accordance with Section 3.59 of the JSE
Limited SA Listing Requirements and Rule 9.6.11 of the UK Listing Rules, the
appointment, effective 23rd March 2006, of Sir David Prosser as a Non-Executive
Director of Investec plc and Investec Limited.
Sir David was previously Group Chief Executive of Legal & General Group PLC and
is currently a Director of Intercontinental Hotels Group PLC. Save for the
directorships listed in the notes, there are no further details required to be
disclosed by Rule 9.6.13 of the UK Listing Rules.
