Camco voted 'Best Project Developer 2008'
Camco International Limited ('Camco'), a leading climate change business in the
growing carbon and sustainable development markets, has been voted 'Best Project
Developer 2008' by Point Carbon. The announcement at the Carbon Market Insights
2008 conference in Copenhagen followed a survey of the most active global
participants in the carbon market.
Jeff Kenna, CEO of Camco, said: 'We are delighted that our peers selected us as
the best project developer for the second year in a row. This is an endorsement
of our success in identifying, co-developing and managing large scale industrial
projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This award would not have been
possible without our dedicated staff and the excellent long term relationships
we have built with project owners and partners around the world.'
'Camco provided outstanding examples of excellence in project development in
2007. The company has shown its great expertise in tackling climate change with
its local presence and global reach,' said Per-Otto Wold, CEO of Point Carbon.
As of 29 February 2008 Camco had a contracted portfolio of carbon credits of
150.1 million tonnes, one of the largest and most mature portfolios in the
sector. With a 20-year track record, Camco offers a full range of carbon-related
services to public and private organisations worldwide. Camco's international
network of offices and experts establish long term partnerships that create real
value for clients. Camco's presence on the ground enables the company to
