Appointment of Non-executive Director
iomart Group plc (AIM:IOM) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian
Ritchie as non-executive Director with immediate effect. Ian will be appointed
chairman of the group on 31st January 2008 at which time Nick Kuenssberg, the
current chairman, will step down from the board after 8 years' service.
Ian Cleland Ritchie, 57, has an impressive background in technology enterprise.
Currently Chairman of Computer Application Services Ltd, Caspian Learning Ltd,
Connect Scotland, and Scapa Technologies Ltd he is also a past President of the
British Computer Society. Ian was founding chairman of several technology
companies, including Voxar Ltd (now part of Barco Ltd), a world leader in
visualisation solutions for medical markets, Orbital Software Group plc (now
part of Sopheon plc), Digital Bridges Ltd. (now part of Oberon Inc) and Sonaptic
Ltd (now part of Wolfson Microelectronics plc), the leading audio technology
development company.
Ian Ritchie, Non-executive Director of iomart, commented, 'I am honoured to have

• Ian was a director of VIS Interactive and VIS ITV Limited which were
sold to BAM Entertainment Inc. The companies subsequently went into liquidation
- VIS Interactive went into voluntary liquidation on 20 March 2007 and VIS ITV
Limited was dissolved on 8th December 2004.
• Ian was a director of Pentland Software Limited, a company set up to
sell a payroll package for the BBC Micro. It ceased trading and was dissolved,
leaving no shortfall to creditors.
• Ian was a director of the Scottish Science Trust which was dissolved
on 2nd December 2005 leaving no shortfall to creditors.
• Ian was a director of the Mindwarp Pavilion Limited which went into
voluntary liquidation and was dissolved on 28th November 2003.
• Ian was a director of F7 Technology, which went into compulsory
liquidation and was dissolved on 3rd December 2007. The shortfall to creditors
was estimated to be £153,393.
• Ian was a director of The Electronic Book Factory Limited which went
into voluntary liquidation on 2 May 1995 and was dissolved on 1 June 1996. The
total shortfall to creditors was estimated to be £100,000.
• Ian was a director of OWL International Limited which went into
voluntary liquidation on 20 August 1992 and was dissolved on 17 October 1997.
The total shortfall to creditors was estimated to be £357,191.
• Ian was a director of New Media Factory Limited on 3 December 1997, a
company which went into voluntary liquidation on 13 May 1998. The total
shortfall to creditors was estimated to be £257,800.
There are no further disclosures to be made in accordance with Schedule 2(g) of
the AIM Rules.
