IQE plc (AIM:  IQE), the  leading global supplier  of advanced  wafer
products and wafer services to  the semiconductor industry, is  today
hosting a series of presentations  for fund managers and analysts  on
the  rapidly   growing  markets   for  its   compound   semiconductor
technologies.

The  presentations   will   cover  wireless   communications,   laser
technology,  high  efficiency   solar  power   generation  and   high
efficiency light generation. No new material financial information on
IQE will be made available at this conference.

The  speakers   include  key   players  from   across  the   compound
semiconductor supply chain.

Drew Nelson, IQE's  Chief Executive  and Phil  Rasmussen, IQE's  CFO,
will also  attend along  with  Adrian Meldrum,  Business  Development
