NOTIFICATION OF Q3 RESULTS


IQE, the leading 'pure play' outsource supplier of custom epiwafers to the
compound semiconductor industry, will be announcing its third quarter results
on Wednesday 22 November 2000.

A  meeting will be held for analysts on Wednesday 22 November 2000 at 10 a.m.
and a press meeting will be held at 11.30 a.m., both at Buchanan
