                          NOTIFICATION OF Q3 RESULTS


IQE, the leading 'pure play' outsource supplier of custom epiwafers to the
compound semiconductor industry, will be announcing its 3rd quarter results
for the period ending 30 September 2001, on Wednesday 21 November 2001.
