The Company is pleased to announce that Chelverton Asset Management has acquired
out of Treasury 140,000 shares at a  price of 122.5p for its Small Companies
Dividend Trust.  Chelverton Asset Management were formed in 1988 and since 1999 
have managed the award winning Small Companies Dividend Trust plc.  The fund has
a track record of growing its dividend annually to shareholders and generating
excellent capital returns.

The Company is also pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Arc
Fund Management Limited to provide  outsourced trade capture, settlement and
custody services. Arc Fund Management is an AIM quoted financial boutique, 
offering corporate finance, investment management and, through Arc Equities,
stock broking activities to both  individual investors and institutions.

The Company currently has further outsourcing contracts under negotiation and
will issue announcements when these have  become finalised.
