                              Directorate Changes


The Company is pleased to announce that at a meeting of the Board on 6th
October, 2004, two new executive director posts were created and the following
appointments made, with immediate effect.


Operations Director - Mr David Brian Padfield


David Padfield, age 50, joined Jersey Electricity as Planning & Construction
Engineer in 1987 after 14 years with the South Western Electricity Board.  He
graduated from Bath University in 1976 with an honours degree in Electrical and
Electronic Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of
Electrical Engineers and Member of Chartered Management Institute. He was
appointed head of the Energy Division in 1997.


He holds no other directorships


Richard Alan Plaster - Commercial & Human Resources Director


Richard Plaster, age 43, joined Jersey Electricity as Assistant Personnel
Officer in 1987 following a retail management career with Woolworths.  He was
appointed Human Resources Manager in 1998 and is now responsible for human
resources, customer services, procurement, marketing, the appliance retail
business and he chairs the management board of the building services business.
Externally, he is Chairman of the Employment Forum in Jersey and a school
governor. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and
Development.


He holds no other directorships

I would confirm that there are no other disclosures to be made under Paragraph
16.4 of the Listing Rules in respect of either of these appointees.
