Directorate Change - Appointment of non-executive Director
The Board of Jersey Electricity Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Philip Austin, MBE, as a non-executive Director with effect from today, 12th May 2016.
Mr Austin, 67, spent most of his career in banking with HSBC. In 1993 he moved to Jersey where, from 1997 to 2001, he was Deputy CEO of the Bank's business in the Offshore Islands. In 2001, he became the founding CEO of Jersey Finance Ltd, the body set up as a joint venture between the Government of Jersey and its finance industry, to represent and promote the industry at home and abroad. In 2006, Mr Austin joined Equity Trust as CEO of its Channel Islands business, a position he held until 2009 when he left to take on a portfolio of non-executive positions - a portfolio that currently consists of both publicly listed and privately owned businesses.
Mr Austin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. In January 2016, he was awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours list.

Blackstone/GSO Loan Financing Ltd
He was a non-executive director of Invesco Property Income Trust Ltd from 1 March 2013 until 19 December 2015.
There are no further disclosures required to be made in respect of Rule 9.6.13 of the FCA's Listing Rules.
