JOHNSON SERVICE GROUP PLC
PRE-CLOSE PERIOD STATEMENT YEAR ENDING 27 DECEMBER 2003
Ahead of its close period Johnson Service Group PLC ('Johnson') is issuing the
following trading update.
The Board expects to announce full year results in line with market
expectations. Cash generation remains strong and there has been a net reduction
in debt in the second half.
The acquisitions and disposals completed during the second half of 2003 have
refocused the Group's activities and enhanced its position in its major markets.
The strategic acquisition of Johnson Workplace Management Ltd in October 2003
enabled the Group to establish a presence in the growth market of facilities
management and provides Johnson with a platform upon which to build a
significant business for the future.
The Group expects to announce its preliminary results on 11 March 2004.
