New bus systems £0.6m purchase order
Journeo plc (AIM: JNEO), the information systems and transport technical services Group, is pleased to announce a £0.6m purchase order from Wrightbus for the supply and installation of important on-board safety and security systems for new buses being manufactured between November 2020 and March 2022 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.
Journeo's technical services team will work alongside Wrightbus engineering on the production line to seamlessly install its advanced CCTV, security and safety systems into low-emission hybrid vehicles and the new carbon-zero hydrogen fuel cell powered buses. The majority of the revenue will be recognised in 2021.
Wrightbus are one of Europe's leading designers and manufacturers of advanced public transport vehicles, including 1,000 of the iconic New London Routemaster buses. Approximately 13,500 of their buses are currently in daily service with a wide range of fleet operators carrying over 800,000 seated passengers.
