The Company announces that it has today purchased 298,450 ordinary shares into Treasury at 389.06 pence per share.

Following the transaction the Company holds 28,289,749 shares in Treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 253,344,161.  The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
