Appointment of New Director
The Board of JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Linda Yueh as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 1st July 2011.
Dr. Yueh is a Fellow in Economics at St Edmund Hall, Oxford University, where she is also Director of the China Growth Centre. She is Visiting Senior Fellow at the London Business School and Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance and of the IDEAS (International Affairs, Diplomacy & Strategy) research centre, both at the London School of Economics.
After taking a Bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard University, Dr. Yueh obtained a Doctorate in Law from New York University and then practised as an international corporate litigation lawyer in New York, Hong Kong and Beijing. She then obtained a Doctorate in Economics at Oxford University.
Dr. Yueh has written numerous books and served as editor for several book series and journals. She has also served as an advisor, including to the European Commission, the World Economic Forum and the World Bank. She is an economics correspondent for Bloomberg TV and a regular media commentator on global economic and business issues.
