                          STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

                  JPMORGAN FLEMING ASIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                                   AMENDMENT


   This announcement amends that which was released under RNS number 1078S
on 14th November 2003.  The previous announcement did not state payment date and
      record date regarding dividends to be paid to ordinary shareholders.

The Company announces its unaudited results for the year to 30th September
2003.                                       

The Company's total return on net assets in sterling terms was +26.9% over the
year to 30th September 2003.  This compared to a total return of +27.2% from the
Company's benchmark, the Morgan Stanley Composite Asia Free Index ex-Japan in
sterling terms, over the same period.

Earnings per share for the year amounted to 1.10p and the Directors are
recommending a dividend payment of 1.05p per share for the year, payable on 18th
February 2004 to ordinary shareholders  on the register as at the close of
business on 16th January 2004.
