JPMORGAN ASIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 29th May 2009 (being the last business day of the month) JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc's capital consisted of 160,026,062 ordinary 25 pence shares, carrying one vote each and 31,981,897 subscription shares of 1 pence each with no voting rights. Therefore as at 29th May 2009, the total number of voting rights in JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc is 160,026,062.

The above figure (160,026,062) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in JPMorgan Asian Investment Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
