EXERCISE OF SUBSCRIPTION SHARES

JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc announces that today it issued 220 Ordinary shares following the exercise of conversion rights by certificated Subscription shareholders.

The shares in issue, excluding shares held in Treasury, following this notification are 76,375,132 Ordinary shares and 12,683,443 Subscription shares.
