SALE OF OWN SECURITIES FROM TREASURY

JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc announces that today it sold from Treasury 100,000 Ordinary shares at 129.50 pence per share.

Following this sale the Company has in issue 75,541,461 Ordinary shares, including 2,904,000 held in Treasury at a weighted average discount of 11.84%, and 14,056,947 Subscription shares.
