VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL
JPMORGAN CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
In conformity with the Transparency Directive we would like to notify the market of the following:
As at 30th September 2010 the Company's share capital consists of 77,307,881 Ordinary 25 pence shares, carrying one vote each and 12,790,527 Subscription shares of 1 pence each with no voting rights (although these shares are considered "Financial Instruments with similar economic effect to "Qualifying Financial Instruments" in accordance with the DTR 5). The Company does not hold any shares in Treasury. Therefore as at 30th September 2010, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in the Company is 77,307,881.
For shareholders who hold both Ordinary and Subscription shares, the total number of voting rights (including Financial Instruments with similar economic effect to Qualifying Financial Instruments) in the Company is 90,098,408.
The above figures (77,307,881 for Ordinary shareholders and 90,098,408 for Ordinary and Subscription shareholders) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
