JPMORGAN CHINESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

TREASURY STOCK

JPMorgan Chinese Investment Trust plc has today purchased into treasury 37,615 ordinary shares at 133.38 pence per share.

Following the transaction the Company holds 1,262,953 ordinary shares in treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of treasury shares is 76,617,268. The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
