This announcement replaces RNS 5188J released at 9.05 on 27^th April 2022.  The correction is to the record date and ex-dividend date only.  All other details remain unchanged.

First quarterly interim dividend

The Directors have declared that a first quarterly interim dividend of 7.50 pence per share for the year ending 31^st December 2022 will be paid on 1^st June 2022 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 6^th May 2022. The ex-dividend date will be 5^th May 2022.

As announced in the Annual Report, the Board has decided to increase the dividend payable in each of the first three quarters to 7.50 pence from the 7.00 pence paid in the previous period.

The Company has increased its total annual dividend for 49 consecutive years and the Board's dividend policy remains to seek to increase the dividend each year and, taking a run of years together, to pay dividends that at least match the rate of inflation.
