VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN EMERGING MARKETS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

('The Company')

In conformity with the Transparency Directive the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 30 April 2013 the Company's share capital consists of 122,185,704 Ordinary 25 pence shares and 10,177,821 Subscription shares of 1 pence each. The Company holds 1,892,929 Ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore as at 30 April 2013, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc is 120,292,775.

The above figure (120,292,775) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
