VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

JPMORGAN EMERGING MARKETS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

('The Company')

In conformity with the Transparency Directive the Company would like to notify the market of the following:

As at 28 February 2014 the Company's share capital consists of 122,205,581 Ordinary 25 pence shares and 10,157,944 Subscription shares of 1 pence each. The Company holds 3,046,122 Ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore as at 28 February 2014, the total number of voting rights for Ordinary shareholders in JPMorgan Emerging Markets Investment Trust plc is 119,159,459.

The above figure (119,159,459) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to, their interest in the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
