JPMORGAN EUROPEAN SMALLER COMPANIES TRUST PLC

CHANGE IN MANAGEMENT FEE

Following a review of the management fee arrangements for JPMorgan European Smaller Companies Trust plc, the Board announces that, with effect from the start of the Company's next financial year on 1^st April 2015, the base fee will be 1%, calculated by reference to the net asset value of the Company's shares. 

Fees payable to JPMorgan were last reviewed in 2004 when the management fee was changed from 1% on gross assets to the current arrangement of 1.3% on market capitalisation.
