JPMORGAN EUROPEAN FLEDGELING INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

CANCELLATION OF OWN SECURITIES FROM TREASURY

JPMorgan European Fledgeling Investment Trust plc announces that on Tuesday 17th March 2009 it cancelled 2,579,875 ordinary shares that had been bought back in the market between 24th May 2007 and 26th March 2008.

Following this cancellation the Company now holds a total of 1,531,670 shares in Treasury at a weighted average discount of 14.3%.  

The number of shares in issue is 48,713,323 and the total number of shares in issue less the total number of shares held in Treasury is 47,181,653.
