REPURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

JPMorgan European Smaller Companies Trust plc purchased 400,000 ordinary shares at 1097.43 pence per share on 20 December 2013 for cancellation.

Following the transaction the remaining shares in issue total 32,029,577.
