JPMORGAN GLOBAL EMERGING MARKETS INCOME TRUST PLC

ISSUE OF SHARES - REPLACEMENT

The following announcement replaces announcement 6819O made at 16:15 on 23^rd September 2013.  The text below replaces that announcement in its entirety.

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc announces that today it issued 8,800,000 new Ordinary shares for cash at 121.125 pence per share, to satisfy market demand. 

Following this issue, the Company's issued share capital consists of 249,179,438 Ordinary shares.

Application is being made for the new Ordinary shares to be admitted to the premium segment of the Official List and to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. It is expected that dealings in the new Ordinary shares will commence at 8.00 a.m. on 27^th September 2013
