Publication of Supplementary Prospectus

JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc (the 'Company') has today published a supplementary prospectus which is supplemental to, and should be read in conjunction with, the Securities Note, the Registration Document and the Summary Note published on 19th November 2010 (together the 'Prospectus') in connection with the placing of up to 100,000,000 shares.

The supplementary prospectus is required following announcement of the Company's final results for the financial year ended 31st July 2011, which constitute a significant new factor relating to information included in the Prospectus.

A copy of the supplementary prospectus will shortly be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will be available for inspection at www.hemscott.com/nsm.do
