                            ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc announces that on Wednesday 9th
February 2005 it issued 2,000,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 158
pence per share representing 2.27% of the ordinary shares in issue.


The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 6,070,000.  A
further 644,476 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the AGM in 2003.


The remaining shares in issue following this notification are 90,011,392.
