                  JPMORGAN FLEMING INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                              ISSUE OF SHARES

JPMorgan Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc announces that on Thursday 10th
February 2005 it issued 150,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 158
pence per share representing 0.17% of the ordinary shares in issue.

The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 6,220,000.  A
further 494,476 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the AGM in 2003.

The remaining shares in issue following this notification are 90,161,392.
