                  JPMORGAN FLEMING INDIAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                                  ISSUE OF SHARES


JPMorgan Fleming Indian Investment Trust plc announces that today, Monday 7th
March 2005, it issued 15,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 162.5
pence per share, and on Thursday 3rd March 2005 it issued 50,000 ordinary shares
to a market participant at 159.5 pence per share, collectively representing
0.07% of the ordinary shares in issue.

The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 6,710,000.  A
further 4,476 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at the
AGM in 2004.

The remaining shares in issue following this notification are 90,636,392.
