                                 ISSUE OF SHARES


JPMorgan Indian Investment Trust plc announces that yesterday, Thursday 1st
December 2005, it issued 200,000 ordinary shares to a market participant at 226
pence per share representing 0.21% of the ordinary shares in issue.


The number of shares issued under the current authority totals 800,000.  A
further 8,854,036 shares are available for issue under the authority granted at
the EGM held on 1st November 2005.


The shares in issue following this notification are 97,465,392.
