CHANGE IN DIRECTORATE
Appointment
The Board of JPMorgan Japanese Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce its intention to appoint Christopher Samuel as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from the close of the Annual General Meeting on 19th December 2014.
Mr Samuel was previously Chief Exectuive Officer of Ignis Asset Management and will bring to the Board considerable experience of the investment management industry and Japan where he was based earlier in his career.
No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Mr Samuel.
Retirement
Having served the Board since 1996, Jeremy Paulson-Ellis will retire as a Director and Chairman of the Company following the close of the Annual General Meeting on 19th December 2014.
New Chairman
Subject to reappointment at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, Andrew Fleming, who has been a Director since 2004, will be appointed Chairman on Mr Paulson-Ellis's retirement.
