JPMorgan Japanese Investment Trust plc
Indicative Net Asset Value - Japan close of business on 15th March 2011
As a result of the significant declines in Japanese equity markets on Tuesday morning following the earthquake and subsequent tsunami affecting the Tohoku region of Japan on 11 March 2011, the Company is releasing an indicative Net Asset Value ("NAV") per Share in addition to its usual scheduled NAV release.
This indicative NAV incorporates the effects of any portfolio transactions undertaken by the Company in the course of 15 March 2011 and revalues the Company's portfolio of investments using prices at the close of business in Japan and the yen-sterling exchange rate prevailing at 11am (London time). In other respects, the NAVs have been calculated in accordance with AIC recommended practice.
The Capital only NAV per share in pence, with debt at par value, was as follows: 178.64p
The NAV per share, including income, with debt at par value, was as follows: 178.69p
Whilst the market continues to be volatile it is the Company's intention to continue to release indicative same day NAVs at approximately midday London time.
