JPMORGAN JAPANESE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

                          INVESTMENT MANAGER ARRANGEMENTS                         

The Board of JPMorgan Japanese Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce that, following discussions with the Company's Manager, J.P.Morgan Asset Management (UK) Limited, Nicholas Weindling has, with effect from 1st August 2010, become the sole investment manager of the Company, having been the joint portfolio manager since December 2007.  This follows the departure of James Elliot from J.P.Morgan's Tokyo office. The Board would like to thank James for his contribution over the last three years and looks forward to continuing to work with Nicholas in the management of the Company.
